On Friday, my parents and I went to see Julian Bond speak at the university. The lecture was called "The Road to Freedom: From Alabama to Obama". It was awesome. He was funny and engaging. He really knew what he was talking about. I think he inspired a lot of people in the audience, including me.

Honestly, I can't even put my thoughts together. It wouldn't do him justice. All I can really say is that I would love to hear him speak again.

Every time I see Obama or hear his voice, my throat closes up, my nose starts burning and my vision gets blurry.

I think this is what happiness and hope feel like.
